Share a Book With Someone Nearby

Have a book you would love someone else in Squamish to read? The Book Sharing Network makes it easier to lend books, pass them along, and connect them with people who will value them.

You can lend a book for a set period and have it returned, or allow it to continue travelling through the community. Tell us what you would like to share and how you would like to share it.

How It Works

1. Tell Us About Your Book
2. Choose How to Share
3. Connect With a Reader
4. Return It or Keep It Moving

Complete the short form with the title, author, and anything you would like a future reader to know.

Select whether you would like the book returned or are happy for it to continue circulating.

When someone is interested, we will help arrange a direct exchange or a convenient community pickup location.

Returnable books are returned or renewed by the agreed date. Other books can be passed to another reader or placed on a community sharing shelf.

A Network Built on Trust

Free membership helps us keep a simple record of returnable loans while protecting everyone’s contact information. Each loan has an agreed return date, and we will send friendly reminders when it is time for the book to come home.

Like lending a book to a neighbour, returns cannot be completely guaranteed. Books that need to come back should be exchanged directly or through a managed pickup location. Open sharing shelves are best for books you are comfortable allowing to continue circulating.
